Approval of Minutes: Minutes for October were approved.
Luminaries: Tom Ocken and Craig Wallace will be co-captains for luminaries this year. We have750 bags and 350 candles on hand. Additional bags and candles will be purchased at a discount from Smiths and/or Walgreens. Block Captains are:

Treasurer’s Report: Elizabeth provided the Treasurer’s Report showing an unencumbered balance of $1,780.66. Attachment 2
Police Appreciation Bar-b-cue: SHNA will provide a $50 donation in support or the APD Police for their Appreciation bar-b-cue. The bar-b-cue has been postponed until further notice
Annual Meeting Notification: Tom will print up annual meeting notification flyers, which will need to be delivered 30 days prior to the Jan 11, 2016.
Keep America Beautiful Grant: Katy will write a grant for $300 to fund signage that identifies the types of trees in our mediums & parkways.
Parkways and medians on Silver, Gold, Lead and Coal: Katy is working with Dan Humbull of the Solid waste department and they seem to be responding better. Trees are being run over, cut down, and plantings are dying.
Attracting New Members: Katy led a discussion about attracting new members, engaging them, and retaining them so that the SHNA is able to continue to survive and serve this neighborhood. The 3 areas that we will be discussing are Inviting, Welcoming, & Connecting. Katy lead the discussion guided by the Self-Assessment Handout. Clearly we could be doing things better.
