Board Minutes: The Board Minutes from 1/31/10 annual meeting & election of board members were approved.
Treasure’s Report: Elizabeth presented the Treasurer’s report showing a balance of $1518.40.
Office of Neighborhood Association: Gordon has received approval for the SHNA from the Office of Neighborhood Association.
Election of Officers: The following officers were elected:
Gordon Reiselt – President
Jim Montalbano – Vice President
Rich Braziel – Secretary
Elizabeth Doak – Treasure
Matt Sexton – Information Technology
Pictorial History Book: Discussion of producing a historical book resulted in tabling the project indefinitely. This would require a huge amount of work and none of the board members have the time to devote to this project.
COP/Patrol: Katy Braziel went to training program provided by APD. She is now certified to patrol the Silver Hill neighborhood. These patrols will involve 2 people driving around the neighborhood for about an hour every week in a car with magnetic “Neighborhood Patrol” signs & a yellow flashing beacon. Patrols report problems they find to the appropriate city department. Katy and Matt will tour first.
History of NM Public Ed System: Janet Sayers sent notice about a free seminar on the History of NM Public Education System to be held on February 26, 2011 at the Lomas Tramway Library Community Room located at 900 Eastridge NE (SW Corner of Tramway & Lomas). Dr. John Mondragon & Ernest Stapleton will be presenting.
New Website:
Matt Sexton went over the website and showed us how it works. Residents are encouraged to go to www.SilverhillABQ.org to get your ID & Password. The board unanimously approved using this as the official web site for the SHNA.
Zoning: Several examples of commercial signage which are violating zoning code were presented. The board decided that Gordon, Katy, & Matt will bring this up when they meet with City Zoning’s Matt Conrad, Maryellen Hennessy, & Robert Pierson.
