Zoning:
Working with COA Zoning – Elizabeth Doak has been working with zoning to learn why improper building permits continue to be issued by zoning and to identify work flow changes that can improve outcomes. She will develop and deploy a GIS mapping system that will be placed on the SHNA website so both residents and COA Zoning can easily determine the correct zoning requirements that apply to any lot in the Silver Hill Historic District.
401 Maple – The garage space under construction has been red tagged. This is zoned Residential but a Commercial permit was issued. It appears that set backs, drainage, and other zoning violations exist. Permit Attached
1600 Silver – A Certificate of Appropriateness has been approved for the installation of new windows. Certificate of Appropriateness Page 1, Page 2
Fuzzy’s Signage – The large sign at Fuzzy’s which extended into public right-of-way has been removed.
Lucaya Appartments – The trash bins servicing these apartments are not adequate and trash overflows on a regular basis. This trash is then scattered by animals and the wind through out the neighbor hood.
1810/1812 Gold – These dwelling units have been marked as substandard. It is not known if this was done by the City Strike Force.
Whittlesley House: The Albuquerque Historical Society is having an open house at the Whittlesley House (Albuquerque Press Club) on June 25 at 2:00 pm.
St. Charles Borromeo Fiesta: The Fiesta was held on June 11th and 12th but SHNA did not receive notice until the 12th.
Traffic on Gold: Last week there was a rollover accident on Gold and while no one was seriously injured it shines a spotlight on an increasingly serious situation. Drivers are trying to bypass Central and Lead/Coal traffic by cutting through our neighborhood. In order to slow down and discourage this traffic a request has been made to install 4-way stop signs at Buena Vista and Gold and to study the entire length of Gold for traffic calming measures. The City is reviewing the request.
Reforestation: There are 2 trees on Gold that have been damaged and were reported to the City.
Historical Society Program: The Albuquerque Historical Society is having an open house at the Whittlesley House (Albuquerque Press Club) on June 25 at 2:00 pm. See Attachment

The Board approved Katy Braziel setting up a Mission/Vision/Goals retreat with a facilitator at 10:00 am on Saturday 9/24/11 at Richard Braziel’s house (1900 Silver) to set the goals for the next year.
Meeting Adjourned: 8:48 PM
